Skin diseases of any kind are defined by the word dermatosis. There are thousands of different skin disorders, and only a small amount of them require a visit to the doctor. There are many different skin disorders out there that can be caused by a variety of reasons. Some are due to bugs or parasites that may be picked up from somewhere and then borrow into the skin. Chiggers and other bugs may leap onto your skin and borrow themselves a nice little home right on top of your skin.
Many parasites are around so make sure that when you are going for nature walks and in areas with lots of bugs you shower and make sure that you are not bitten or infected by anything. Showering after long nature walks is a great way to wash off any bugs that may be on the surface of your skin. The shower will wash them away and hopefully take away anything that they left that could have infected you if it was on there for so long. Keep up with your hygiene to prevent other forms of rashes. Many skin rashes may form for those that spend long hours sweating and running around without proper care of their skin. Staying clean will help your skin maintain a healthy outer layer that is healthy and disease free. Sometimes the dirt and bacteria that is on your skin can clog pores and cause problems. Showers and personal hygiene can be a great way to maintain healthy skin and prevent any rashes from forming.
A lot of athletes may have rashes develop in places where the skin rubs a lot as they may perform long days outside during the summer heat. Camps make athletes be active all day long for weeks at a time and if they do not take the proper care then they are going to form rashes on their skin. Showering again is vital here. Trying to shower in between sessions at some point can help wash off bacteria and dead skin that could clog pores and cause problems. It will also wash away any dirt that accumulated during practice so that your skin is free of blockages. Keeping certain areas clean and dry is important. Rashes can develop any place, but when working long hours outside in the heat the armpits, elbows, back of the knee, and groin area all tend to be high rash areas. Take precautions and make sure to wear proper attire. Clothes designed to wick away sweat and moisture from the body are helpful at preventing rashes as they are lightweight clothing that takes sweat off of the body and away from the skin so it does not clog pores and stays cooler.
